You can use this form to tell the Tasmanian Office of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trading (CAFT) of any scams you may know about.

We'll use this information to help fight scams in Tasmania.

We won't contact you regarding your submission via this form. However, if you are a victim of a scam, please contact the Consumer Affairs Helpline available on 1300 65 44 99.

CAFT recommends that you keep a copy of the scam materials (ie. email or letter), just in case we need to contact you for further information.

What we do with your information

The information you enter into this form is stored in a CAFT database.

The information you provide may be used to analyse trends in scams. It may also be used to develop consumer education programs or in any investigations or enforcement activities by the State of Tasmania.

You don't have to give us your name and contact details if you don't want to. If you do, these details will be treated as confidential by our Office and not released to any other person or agency. CAFT will get a clearer picture of how we can protect consumers from scams if you provide as much detail as you can.
