Association Extract Request Search
Persons interested in obtaining details for incorporated associations may conduct an association extract search.
The Incorporated Association Register contains the following details for each registered association:
Details can be obtained in one of four ways:
National Names Index Search Facility - This is a free service, access is limited to the incorporated association name & registration number only. However, software supporting the search will not always retrieve names that are slightly different to those entered. Click here to access the National Names Index.
Use an ASIC appointed information Broker - This provides full access to the register of incoporated associations. A fee is payable. Click here to access Information Brokers.
Application Form, lodged in person - Complete an 'Application for an Extract Search - Association' and lodge it, in person, at Service Tasmania and pay the appropriate fee and an extract of the registered incorporated association will be posted to you.
Application Form, lodged by post - Complete an 'Application for an Extract Search - Association' and post with payment to:
Business Affairs Branch
GPO Box 1244
Hobart Tas 7001
or fax it to the Business Affairs Branch on (03) 6233 4882 with credit card details for the appropriate fee. A search will be conducted and the result posted within 3 days of receipt.
Persons interested in viewing documents lodged for an incorporated association may conduct an association document search.
This search is done if you require further information regarding an Incorporated Association (e.g. rules/consititution and amendments, or financial annual returns).
To search an association file, complete and lodge the 'Request to Search an Association File and to Photocopy Association Documents' form, indicating the information you require.
You may then make an appointment to view the file at our office (15 Murray St, Hobart), or alternatively make arrangements for payment and have the documents posted to you.
